So many things happen to us that we forget to thank God for. There’s so much that we just overlook and see as random. Miracles happen. God is real. I am a living witness. I wouldn’t have graduated when I did if not for God’s intervention. I was almost certain I would have to spend an extra year. But miraculously, God did it. My school fees miraculously appeared and I could take exams that year.
There are so many other things that happened that I have probably forgotten about or I failed to take cognizance of. But I know that the miracles I have received from God are too numerous to count.
Today was a really busy day for me. And I still had to stay back to study after work in spite of how tired I was. I was a bit behind so I had to stay an extra thirty minutes in addition to my usual 3hrs per day dedicated to studying. Afterwards I was exhausted. Really tired! As a routine, while walking to take a bus at the bus stop, I started praying. Usually, I thank God for the day and pray for a safe return back home. So today I was really tired and I told God about it. I prayed to have a convenient and affordable trip back home. I heard there was a hike in fuel price so transportation had become expensive. I didn’t plan for this so I had to pray.
As soon as I got to the bus stop, a Prado going to iyanoworo stopped right in front of me. I got in just in time. Mind you the car was fully air conditioned. And it was 200 Naira as I budgeted. The road was free and I engaged in smart conversation with the passenger beside me. I felt so at home!
Usually, when I get to iyanoworo I usually have to wait for about 30 mins before seeing a bus going to Ogudu for 50 Naira because most buses charge 100 Naira. But today, immediately I got to Iyanoworo, I saw a 50 Naira bus to Ogudu. At Ogudu, someone offered me a free ride home. So brethren, tell me, is God not good?
To some people, these seem like normal random experiences, but to me, it’s a miracle. It didn’t happen by accident. I asked for this and I received what I asked for. God listens to us. He hears us when we pray. What is random for you, could be someone else’s miracle. So learn to be more appreciative of the things that you have.
The song ringing in my head right now is this; Lord You are the most high! Hallowed be thy name! I saw the video of a blind little boy singing that song. He’s voice so nice and sweet. I couldn’t help thinking. If a blind boy could sing with this much confidence in God, how much more I? I am not where I want to be.. But at least God takes care of me. He provides, He blesses me. Prayer is really the key to winning favors from God. Prayer, and living a life free from sin. Peace!
