Most people are of the opinion that they want to be happy, hence, they’ll do whatever makes them happy regardless of whether or not its right. Some people do not have beliefs, values or principles guiding them. They just do things because they want to.
Some people are of the opinion that; men have the right to cheat because it is in their nature. “They can sleep with as many women as possible in as much as they still love and treat their wives with respect”. “It’s so boring to sleep with the same woman over and over again”. “Once in a while, you want to taste different meals”… Wonderful! What would you tell your daughter when she begins to sleep around with different men? what would you do when you find that another woman’s husband who shares the same ideas as you has impregnated your 22 year old daughter? what would you advise when you find that two different women are pregnant for your 19 year old son??
You like the high that weed gives to you. “It helps you forget your worries”.. “it calms your nerves”.. “it relieves your depression”, “it makes your journey back home really fast”.. “it helps you enjoy music better”.. “it helps you eat and sleep better”. .. “you are enjoying yourself”..”it’s your life”… “life is too short, live it” You’re so buzzed you can’t freaking understand anything.You can hardly assimilate whatever is going around you.. you are having fun… These are the most rampant beliefs of our youths today. Everyone is so lazy, we don’t wanna deal with our issues. We wanna stay buzzed and not feel. why don’t you just stop living then.. Do you not know that what shapes you, what makes you strong is your ability to face challenges head-on and come out victorious? That aside, do you know the harm it causes to your health? That aside, the fact that it isn’t legal should be enough reason to desist from the act. What would you say to your kids when they start smoking?? would you encourage them? I think smoking weed is an irresponsible act.. It’s not good for your health, its illegal and the fact that you are so dependent on something like that to function is enough reason to show you how wasted it could make you.
You need money therefore you’ll pursue everything that seems flashy; you’ll smile at anyone that looks okay; you’ll encourage those with clean rides; You need money, so runs is the easy way out… “use what you have to get what you want”.. “everything is business”.. “you cannot chop and clean mouth and go.. you must drop something sir”… Our young ladies have become so corrupt and hopeless. I believe it’s all as result of low self esteem. If we knew how very precious and valuable our bodies are, we wouldn’t just throw it out to any Tom, Dick or Harry at a fee. It’s because we do not have hope. We have lost all hope and now believe prostitution is the only way forward. We do not believe in miracles. We do not believe that the God who created us is somewhere watching.. we prefer to believe that “the hustle is real and we must survive” as if its by our own power and might, as if we can create a single breath to live by. Like we’re so certain of tomorrow. We keep forgetting that we do not own ourselves. God owns us and can do whatever he pleases with us. When we have come to the realisation that we do not live for ourselves, but for him who created us, only then will he make our matters his own.. only then would he plan our lives for us. but if you keep deceiving yourself and keep doing the things you want regardless of what He says, then, be ready to take care of the repercussions yourself.
Sex before marriage is a sin. Sex was created for man and wife who have been joined together under God’s presence and have become one. Do not be fooled by that tiny voice within you which tries to deceive souls. It is true. Fornication (sex before marriage) is a sin. We are burdened with the burning passions of our sexuality. Our bodily desires overwhelm us and most times we fall, we fall and fall and fall, and at some point we get tired of the falls, we get tired of the guilt.. we get tired of confessing our sins and unworthiness before God, Hence, we prefer to deceive ourselves and say.. “fornication is not really a sin, what matters is that we remain faithful to our partner”….. continue deceiving yourself.. Its so difficult yes.. sometimes we can’t handle it..yes.. but it doesn’t make it right. It remains wrong. Chastity is a grace. God loves chastity. We should all keep praying to God for the grace to be pure and worthy before him. He knows you better than you know yourself. So its only him that can save you from you. Whenever you find that you have fallen, stand up immediately and run back to him. No matter how frequent the falls, Even if its every minute.. as soon as you realise what you have done, run to God in humility telling him how very sorry your are and begging him for the grace to not offend him again.
We should all learn to live only for Jesus wherever we find ourselves. He made us.. so he can turn us into whatever he wants. We should strive to be in his good books. This way, we can pray and be sure that he listens, This way, whatever happens to us we know that he is aware, and he’ll be looking out for us. When we sin, we stroll away from his reach.. he’s watching us yes but his grace doesn’t abound there.. his grace abounds within.. within the flock.. the flock are his children.. those ones who listen to him and obey him. When we stray away from where his grace abounds. normal random human things happen to us.. where others struggle, you too struggle, where they suffer, you suffer too, where you do not qualify, you would not be taken, where someone does you jazz, it might affect you… but when you remain within his flock, your life would be grace filled. He’s grace would keep and sustain you. Your life would be divinely planned; wonderful things would keep happening and God would keep manifesting himself to you. He’ll fill you with the wisdom and grace you need to survive in the most difficult situations.
Being faithful to God seems difficult; but truth is, the grace that comes with having God look down on us with so much pride and contentment is so great. It’s the kind of grace that makes you invincible, untouchable and so filled with wisdom and strength that where others cannot enter you can enter, where others cannot win, you will win.
Christianity is not a matter of obeying rules, its a matter of loving God and living only for him. So don’t mind people when you see them wearing the biggest clothes and having the plainest faces. Do you. Be you. Be happy. But live only for Jesus.
